1st Highroads Service Unit Camping Trip

This is a late post! We had an awesome Service Unit Camping Trip! "It was awesome to meet so many other girl scouts" - quote from my daughter, Maddie. We had some Highroads leaders and parents. We were out in Wieboldt lodge and we even had some brave Juniors stay out in the cabins. A little rain didn't dampen our spirits.. One of our leaders went off-roading and got stuck in the mud..but the minivan was rescued! We hiked over 8 miles over the weekend, which was an awesome accomplishment for first time campers!

Side note - Hickory was leveled earlier this year. Very sad. I'm hoping they will replace the cabin. I'm making plans for one or two trips next year.
