There are so many resources to help new leaders plan activities with their troops.

Here are some resources you can rely on as a Troop Leader.

Volunteer Toolkit: Log into MyGS to access the Volunteer Toolkit, which helps leaders plan their activities for the year. It provides detailed lesson plans and guidance for completing badge work and journey awards with your troop. https://mygs.girlscouts.org/

Girl Scout Shop: Here you can purchase badges, awards, pins, uniforms and other Girl Scout merchandise. Leaders can shop from the main site or access their local council's shop to purchase items. https://www.girlscoutshop.com/

Badge Booklets/Handbooks: Leaders can access all the program materials to complete badges and more from the Girl Scout Shop. The Brownie Handbook contains everything a Brownie needs to know to be a Girl Scout. Activity Zone: Get inspiration for activities ot complete with your troop from the Girl Scout Activity Zone. https://www.girlscouts.org/en/activity-zone.html

Safety Activity Checkpoints: Safety Activity Checkpoints (SACP) provides the standard safety guidelines for Girl Scouts of the USA approved activities. Troop Leaders are responsible for ensuring all activities are planned and carried out in accordance with these guidelines.
